Dynamic/Reactive

This describes the situation where the screen responds to cursor movement. The cursor changes from an arrow to a hand when it moves over a hyperlink. In many cases the image below the cursor changes as well. This effect is almost universal and so is difficult to link to a genre, although some experimental sites are extremely reactive. Figure 3 shows a website wherein the images in a square change rapidly as the cursor moves over it, leaving a seemingly random image behind as the cursor moves outside of its range. The user therefore builds the page with his/her mouse.
