Mon 19th July
Day 315
10M 11D |
Today Nathan smashed his all time record with thirty one consecutive
Aahs.
All was going so well until bedtime when the lad needed another
nappy after his bath, required a new vest after being put to
bed, and needed (not wanted) his cannula to be re-fixed.

Day 314
10M 10D |
Another visit to Granny and Grandad's home. Uncle
Adrian had returned from several months in Tanzania, and was taken
by the change in Nathan. He's all there now, whereas three or
four months ago the lad didn't really know what to make of the
world. |
Sat 17th July
Day 313
10M 9D |
Another good day, although if put to the vote only one of us
would go for waking at 5:30. We took Nathan to a barbecue at
friends' house and the lad behaved admirably. He even got some
sleep in a new and interesting house.
Following the advice of a baby-food book we now thicken Nathan's
food with powdered wheatgerm as well as baby rice. It tastes
better and increases regularity.

Fri 16th July
Day 312
10M 8D |
The lad was a smiley bouncey baby today. he chuckled
all day long. He also slept quite a lot more than usual. Probably
because he was up at 3:30 this morning fo a while. It turned out
he was hungry. |
Thu 15th July
Day 311
10M 7D |
Mum and Nathan went swimming today. The lad found it much more
enjoyable than last time. He laughed and waved his hands about
wildly, his gesture of excitement.
We've spotted something new when Nathan smiles. Not a tooth
yet, but a dimple, on his left cheek

Wed 14th July
Day 310
10M 6D |
Nathan was a noisy boy today, making use of his newly expanded
repetoire of noises, he shouted and squealed all day.
Yesterday Nathan tried his first finger food - rice cake. He
yummed it up, but the remainder goes all sticky and gooey, and
all over the place as well.
Use of the lad's new chair continues to grow in sophistiation.
If he's placed correctly, then the chair supports his hips,
and he sits upright with no visible support!

Tue 13th July
Day 309
10M 5D |
Nathan got the hang of his chair today. It was a
happy day for everyone except the washing machine which had to
launder four sets of chlothes for the lad. |
