Mon 13th March
Day 553
1Y 6M 5D |
One thing about Nathan's frown is that it has replaced
crying as the lad's way of showing that he doesn't want to do
whatever you are trying to do with him. This makes things a lot
more civilised. |
Sun 12th March
Day 552
1Y 6M 4D |
We had a lovely day in London with Granny and Grandpa. We all
went to a shopping centre, and Nathan enjoyed watching all the
goings on.
The latest trick is to (sometimes) respond with a "moo"
when asked what noise a cow makes. The lad also responds to
the phrase "sock challenge" by immediately taking
his socks off. Although he can't say sock, he certainly knows
what one is.

Sat 11th March
Day 551
1Y 6M 3D |
Nathan was crawling around the kitchen today when his arms
gave way and he came crashing to the floor, mouth first. No
lasting damage done, just his first fat lip.
We've decided that the lad is now 75% boy and 25% baby.
It's really only drinking milk out of a bottle that's keeping
him in baby mode, perhaps.

Fri 10th March
Day 550
1Y 6M 2D |
A good day's swimming. Nathan help on to the side
and jumped in, all by himself. The latter part of the day was
taken up by crawling madly around and sleeping. |
Thu 9th March
Day 549
1Y 6M 1D |
A nice day, although one of little sleep for the little lad.
Nathan did allow his old dad to rest his eyes for a moment while
he played on his own in the living room.
The playgroup was enjoyable as ever. Nathan broke into a crawl
for the first time at this group.

Wed 8th March
Day 548
1Y 6M 0D |
Jo Jingles today. Nathan did a bit more clapping and maraca
shaking than last time.
In the afternoon we went to the physiotherapist. Nathan's crawling
more, but he's not made any progress in his techniques. We've
got some exercises for next time.
1. Lie the lad on his back and have him roll to his side and
push to a sitting position. Not looking forward to this one.
2. Get Nathan to sit with both knees facing the same way. It's
an intermediate position between lying and sitting.
3. Straddle Nathan on a leg and encourage him to push himself
to standing.
So, let's see what progress we make in three weeks, when we
see the physiotherapist again.

Tue 7th March
Day 547
1Y 5M 28D |
The lad had another independent and enjoyable session
at the toddler group. He only spend twenty minutes out of two
hours with dad. The rest of the time he played, and watched. |
