Mon 20th March
Day 560
1Y 6M 12D |
Nathan's still throwing toys out of the door. He also managed
to retrieve a couple. No mean feat considering the outside step
is four inches below the living room carpet.
The nine cups that fit into each other like Russian dolls (known
to us as pickle cups) have been the lad's favourite toy for
a couple of months now. He was timed putting them together today
in thirty seconds. Mum managed it in thirteen.

Sun 19th March
Day 559
1Y 6M 11D |
The weather's starting to warm up, and we've taken to having
the patio doors slightly open at the back of the house. The
lad has taken this as a sign to throw his smaller toys through
the gap.
We tried taking him out for a crawl outside but, although Nathan
liked the ants, he didn't think much of the cold, hard paving
stones.

Sat 18th March
Day 558
1Y 6M 10D |
A nice quiet day. Nathan's new favourite toy appears to be
an empty Marmite jar, although he's also partial to chucking
a full one around.
The lad's got a new trick. We say "hands on head"
and Nathan obliges.

Fri 17th March
Day 557
1Y 6M 9D |
Nathan won his Cygnet badge at swimming this morning. The lad
had to do the following
- Jump to parent without help
- Float for 3 seconds (with or without assistance
- Front kick for 5m with help
- Unsupported spider walk
- Kicking on back with help
It's true that the instructors were generous, but Nathan did
really well.

Thu 16th March
Day 556
1Y 6M 8D |
Words that Nathan can now say (when he feels disposed to) include
bricks and toys. We're covering all the important areas.
Some poo trouble again today. A temporary problem, we hope.

Wed 15th March
Day 555
1Y 6M 7D |
Jo Jingles was at the zoo today. Instruments were bells and
drum, and props were butterfly wings.
We went to London to visit Nanna and Gramps. The last time
we visited was the day of Dad's accident. Nathan was on great
form today, crawling all over the place, pausing only to have
a cry at scary old uncle Rob (not seen since Christmas).

Tue 14th March
Day 554
1Y 6M 6D |
The lad had a good day. He did an exceptional amount of crawling
at playgroup today, even trying to escape through the front
door.
Unfortunately a touch of teething in the evening led to a difficult
bedtime. This time it's the upper left canine.
