This site is about Nathan Windisch, born 14 weeks premature, he stayed at the Neonatal unit for 15 weeks.

Mon 17th April
Day 588
1Y 7M 10D

Nathan continues to pull himself up in preparation for standing.

The lad's got a caterpillar that plays tunes. In addition to swaying along to the music, Nathan had a go at singing along as well.

Sun 16th April
Day 587
1Y 7M 9D

Nathan had another lovely day. Lots of pointing, and when Nathan pulled himself up on the coffee table, he moved his feet. A first.

New word of the day was "beep beep"

Sat 15th April
Day 586
1Y 7M 8D

Apart from some scattered incidents of teething, the lad had a lovely day today.

New word of the day was "cream", as in Sudocream.

Fri 14th April
Day 585
1Y 7M 7D

Swimming wasn't much fun for the lad this morning. We'll be getting a break during the easter holidays, and we might extend it another couple of weeks in the hope that it'll be new interesting and fun for the lad when he returns to it.

Granny came over to play with Nathan, but he wasn't quite up to top form. It's probably a combination of his cough and teething.

Thu 13th April
Day 584
1Y 7M 6D

Thursday playgroup met at the swimming pool today. Nathan didn't really enjoy it that much. A mixture of toothache and missing mum perhaps? The lad did do lots of standing up in the baby pool though.

Later we went to another little friend of Nathan's. They're roughly at the same stage of development, although the friend can walk. They spent quite a long time by a cut-down Wendy house; one inside, throwing things out, and the other outside, throwing things in.

Wed 12th April
Day 583
1Y 7M 5D

A bit of a coughy old day for Nathan, starting at about 8:00 the previous evening.

Still, we went to what will be the last Jo Jingles (We've decided not to renew. There must be other things to do). Instruments were maracas and drum, and props were wings and bubbles. We then went to Maidenhead, and had a pizza (at least Dad did. Nathan slept for 90 minutes, then back home for a spot of playing.

In the bath, going "one ...two ...three ...splash", and Nathan seems to know when to splash. Can he count, or is he doing it some other way?

Tue 11th April
Day 582
1Y 7M 4D

Mum's off to a convention until Thursday evening, so it's just us chaps for the next few days.

Nathan crawled alone for forty five minutes at playgroup today. We went swimming in the afternoon but the pool was a little cold, so it wasn't much fun.

The lad's still pointing furiously. He seems to want to know what things are called so much.
