This site is about Nathan Windisch, born 14 weeks premature, he stayed at the Neonatal unit for 15 weeks.

Mon 24th April
Day 595
1Y 7M 17D

Not a very good night (and not a very good day either), Nathan woke up twice in some distress.

We think it's his tummy. There weren't many symptoms today, just a bit of a temperature, and a slightly glazed look, probably partially due to lack of sleep.

Sun 23rd April
Day 594
1Y 7M 16D

We went to Granny and Grandpa's house today and Nathan crawled all over the place, explored everything, crawled after people when they left the room, and climbed the stairs a couple of times.

The lad also picked the word "cow" right out of a conversation, and repeated it. He must have been listening to every word.

Sat 22nd April
Day 593
1Y 7M 15D
We took Nathan to watch mum play bowls. A blanket on the ground was all he needed to feel at home, and the lad proceeded to charm every one of the bowlers.
Fri 21st April
Day 592
1Y 7M 14D

Another lovely day. Granny looked after the lad while mum & dad went for a meal.

Q. What sound does a cow make?
A. Mooo
Q. What sound does a car make?
A. Vrooom
At least we think that's what Nathan said.

Thu 20th April
Day 591
1Y 7M 13D

A nice relaxed day. Nathan appears to be over his constipation problems. Lots more nappy changing for us but a lot less discomfort for the lad.

Nathan went to see an old hospital contemporary. It was lovely to see two miracle kids playing nicely and normally with each other.

Wed 19th April
Day 590
1Y 7M 12D

Mum's taken some holiday over easter, so we all went over to Odds Park Farm again. Nathan loved it, but got a bit frustrated because he really would have liked to walk/crawl all over the place, but couldn't.

Nathan then visited the Physiotherapist, and proceded to pretend that he couldn't pull himself up, or do much else. Perhaps he needed more sleep. Next appointment in three weeks.

Tue 18th April
Day 589
1Y 7M 11D

The lad learned to say Ssssssssss (it's getting better every time he does it).

He's still pointing, mostly at the ceiling.
