We went once again to Odd's Park Farm, this time with uncle Adrian and Grandpa. Nathan had a go at feeding the animals himself.

The lad's become much more adventurous at crawling around. At a restaurant he kept crawling out of the back door, onto the concrete outside (first time on concrete). Once he disappeared from sight and we discovered he was trying to climb up a fire escape.

Granny looked after Nathan pretty much all day. She noticed how much more presence the lad has. He's more aware of what he wants to do.

We were asking Nathan what noise a Lion makes, and he went to the floor. He was obligingly lying (lion) down. The lad does a fine roar for tiger noises.

Thursday once again and Nathan crawled around, and didn't look for dad for the first time at this group.

Apart from a minor tantrum because he hadn't drunk enough milk (he'd already drunk 6oz, and finally drank 9oz, a new record) we had a lovely day. The lad's slowly becoming more independent.

We went to a new music group this morning. It's called Hickory Dickory Dock, and is run by an ex-teacher, who is very gentle, but doesn't allow any funny business (unless it's in the song). She's a wonder to behold.

We went to lunch at a local pub called The Thatchers which has outdoor and indoor play areas. Very pleasant, and the lad slept well after it.

Not quite so pleasant was the paddy (local terminology for tantrum) that Nathan threw in the afternoon. Dad's pulled a muscle on his Nathan carrying shoulder, so that method of soothing Nathan is temporarily unavailable. Nathan just screamed and screamed. After a while dad set him down and waited. After another few minutes a song quieted him down, and everything was wonderful for the rest of the day.

Back to the termtime routine, and Nathan crawled around like never before at playgroup. He even made it up onto a (low) table to play with some cars.
