This site is about Nathan Windisch, born 14 weeks premature, he stayed at the Neonatal unit for 15 weeks.

Mon 22nd May
Day 623
1Y 8M 14D
Nanna came to visit and Nathan showed her his latest trick of getting off bits of furniture (and stairs) by climbing down off them backwards.
Sun 21st May
Day 622
1Y 8M 13D

We went to a local pub with a play area. Nathan got into every nook and cranny, and slept very well when we got home.

We watched a spot of cricket, and the lad clapped every time he saw the crowd clapping.

Sat 20th May
Day 621
1Y 8M 12D
Nathan watched his favourite team, Chelsea, win the FA cup. By the end of the match he was clapping to the team's name.
Fri 19th May
Day 620
1Y 8M 11D

Nathan had a good day which turned into an excellent one at the end of the current period of constipation.

Apart from that we went to a local playground where the lad had his first go on the swings, he wasn't too sure, but thought he enjoyed it.

Nathan's decided that that the word "pi-ca" (picture) also describes the television. He has a point.

Thu 18th May
Day 619
1Y 8M 10D

Nathan's still constipated, but not particularly worried about it. In fact, he ate better than normal: around 20 spoons of yoghurt for lunch, and a similar amount of fig, prune & creamed rice for supper (these are baby spoons, about a third of the size of a teaspoon).

We went to playgroup today and Nathan crawled around like he's never done before. Hurray! Dad had a chance to wash up the coffee cups. He's been feeling terribly guilty, not being able to do this for the last six months.

Wed 17th May
Day 618
1Y 8M 9D

The Hickory Dickory Dock music group was most enjoyable. We went on to Woodley town centre where Nathan merrily crawled around the play area for half an hour. Nathan's still constipated, but not too distressed by it yet.

The physiotherapist was pleased with Nathan's progress, even though it took fifty minutes before he stood up. The next appointment is for a month's time.

Tue 16th May
Day 617
1Y 8M 8D

Today was pretty good. The weather has become hot, so we went to buy some lighter clothing. Nathan charmed every single shop assistant, and we just had a generally good time.

We're headed for more constipation problems tomorrow, but it may never happen.
