This site is about Nathan Windisch, born 14 weeks premature, he stayed at the Neonatal unit for 15 weeks.

Mon 31st July
Day 693
1Y 10M 24D

Nanna came today. She commented how much more the lad was standing up than before.

Nathan had a good day, but did suffer a little with his teeth. The lad's now got all his upper teeth except for the two number one molars, and all his lower teeth except for his canines and the two number one molars.

Sun 30th July
Day 692
1Y 10M 23D

Today we met up with an an aunt and other assorted relatives at Odds Park Farm.

We all had a lovely time. Nathan's not as exitable about the animals as he was on our first trip to the farm, but he's now old enough to have a go on the toy tractors and "Flintstone" cars that they have in abundance there. He was tired, dirty and happy.

Sat 29th July
Day 691
1Y 10M 22D

Nathan was in the best of moods today. We didn't do much today, apart from pop down to the local Woodley shopping centre to watch all the kids play on the bouncy castle, and play with the "springy" toys in the centre there.

Nathan did lots of cruising, and lots of eating as well. After ten days of this we're starting to get used to it.

Fri 28th July
Day 690
1Y 10M 21D

Granny came to visit and mum and dad went to a restaurant for lunch. Lovely.

The lad's standing and cruising skills continue to improve daily. Today Nathan managed to prop himself up By leaning his bottom against the edge of the sofa. With both hands free, he helped us to clap his achievement.

Thu 27th July
Day 689
1Y 10M 20D

We all took a trip to the local busy road where Nathan instructed us on which vehicle was a car, truck, or van.

Then onto Dad's group (running a bit short of dads today - just two). Nathan was more outgoing than normal, he even tried, unsuccessfully, to take a toy from a four year old.

Wed 26th July
Day 688
1Y 10M 19D

Today we went to Legoland. At £18 a head (Nathan was free) entry was a bit painful, but we had a lot of fun. Nathan particularly liked a quartet of robot musicians playing slowed down rock and roll, and also the miniatures of scenes from the UK, especially the ones with working trains, boats, buses and cars in.

He stood for longer than he's ever done before and watched the scenes with a look of joy on his face.

Tue 25th July
Day 687
1Y 10M 18D

Dad went off to see a friend and Mum took the lad to toddler group. She walked Nathan a few steps. It's something about all the other kids doing their stuff around and about that seems to inspire him.
