This site is about Nathan Windisch, born 14 weeks premature, he stayed at the Neonatal unit for 15 weeks.

Mon 20th November
Day 805
2Y 2M 13D

Nanna came and Nathan showed off by managing twelve steps.

We brought down some toys that had been bought for the lad last christmas, but were too old for him. He immediately grasped the musical keyboard, the number computer, and the blocks. It shows the intellectual change in the lad over the last few months.

Sun 19th November
Day 804
2Y 2M 12D
Today we went to visit a little friend. Nathan played the clown, sliding down daddy's legs, and playing peek-a-boo with the curtains.
Sat 18th November
Day 803
2Y 2M 11D
We went into town today, and then on to Deep Sea Den. Nathan had a lovely time, and even let us eat in the restaurant next to Deep Sea Den relatively peacefully.
Fri 17th November
Day 802
2Y 2M 10D

In the last few days we've started asking Nathan to smile for the camera. He always does so, and with such spontaneity that he sometimes laughs as well. Then he rushes forward to see the picture appear on the back of the camera.

Today was a friend's third birthday and the lad was invited to the party. It was a small and jolly affair and Nathan really enjoyed being with the other children, clowning around, putting napkins on his head and suchlike.

Thu 16th November
Day 801
2Y 2M 9D

Nathan's up to SEVEN steps now! He also had a great time at Thursday toddler group.

We're in the local paper. It's a very nice piece.

Wed 15th November
Day 800
2Y 2M 8D

Some more examples of five word sentences "Get it out, the car", and "Where's it gone, the baby?"

Nathan enjoyed music group today and one of his friends came home with us to play for a while. It was great fun.

We've found a way to get the lad to wear a hat. Give him one of daddy's to wear and he'll don it and keep it on quite happily.

Tue 14th November
Day 799
2Y 2M 7D
Nathan walked, Nathan walked, Nathan walked! About five steps at a go, and he did it about five times. Unfortunately the sixth attempt had him fall flat on his face, slightly cutting his lip and bruising his forehead, so no more attempts today then.
