This site is about Nathan Windisch, born 14 weeks premature, he stayed at the Neonatal unit for 15 weeks.

Mon 11th December
Day 826
2Y 3M 3D
We're up to 24 steps now. Nathan's still wobbly, and still likes being taken by the hand when he walks, but it can't be for long now.
Sun 10th December
Day 825
2Y 3M 2D
Nathan managed twenty steps today. He's starting to enjoy walking and sometimes does it just because he can. He's also starting to change direction in mid-flight, and is working on coming to a natural stop without crashing into his destination.
Sat 9th December
Day 824
2Y 3M 1D
We went once again to The Thatchers pub. Nathan's really at home there now and spent a long time in the ball pit, just watching the older children play.
Fri 8th December
Day 823
2Y 3M 0D

Granny came today and the lad decided not to sleep. Boy was he tired by bedtime.

When we went to the dietician a couple of days ago Nathan was weighed. He's now 9.62kg (21lb 2oz) which is quite a good gain.

Thu 7th December
Day 822
2Y 2M 30D

We went to Cintra park playgroup and Nathan was his new independant self, although he was a little tired. Dad got nominated as playgroup representative on the centre's committee, whatever that means.

When mum got home dad asked Nathan "say to mum dot com" (He'd said it earlier in the day because he was copying what dad said. Nathan said "Mum, dot com".

We were eating broccoli and the lad told us they were trees.

Wed 6th December
Day 821
2Y 2M 29D

Hickory Dickory today was a special Christmas edition. We met in the church hall next to our usual room and sang all the songs we've been learning this past term.

Afterwards we went to the Thatcher's pub which has a children's play area with some friends from Hickory Dickory. Nathan had a great time. They all spent about half an hour putting small change into a games machine. That's the best part of these machines if you're two years old.

Tue 5th December
Day 820
2Y 2M 28D

We went to toddler group today and Nathan had the best time he's ever had. He was off playing as soon as we arrived and, apart from the odd bump, had a great time throughout. So much so that dad could perform his new duties as toddler group treasurer without interruption, and even washed up the cups at the end (what a hero).
