This site is about Nathan Windisch, born 14 weeks premature, he stayed at the Neonatal unit for 15 weeks.

Mon 5th February
Day 882

Nanna came to visit today.

Nathan's got a new game. We sing to him "Nathan nathan can you ......", being smile, run, clap etc. The lad loves it. Today, while playing this game, we taught him what kneeling was, and he also kisses on command, although his mouth is wide open as he's giggling so much.

Day 881

Today we visited Granny and Granpa. Nathan had a great time, as usual. He decided to war his slippers today, a good thing because his shoes are getting rather tight. We expect to be able to collect his new shoes from the hospital tomorrow.
Sat 3rd February
Day 880

We went to the Thatchers with neighbours and then went for a quick shop in Woodley town centre. Nathan was buzzing once more.

We've been sent some holiday brochures and while looking through them we spotted a picture of the Seaton trams, which we rode on last year. Nathan recognised the picture and started talking about holidays. He definitely remembers.

Fri 2nd February
Day 879

Granny came to visit today. Nathan ran to the door when he realised it was her ringing the bell. He ate huge quantities of food and (perhaps as a result) was extremely energetic throughout the day.
Thu 1st February
Day 878
2Y 4M 25D

Today we went to Syon Park with Grandpa. First we visited The Aquatic Experence with lizards, frogs, fish (including pirhanas), crocodiles, parrots, a cat and a dog. Nathan enjoyed it all, but especially the gift shop.

Then we went on to Snakes and Ladders, also at Syon Park. We've been before but now the lad's walking.

Nathan had a really great time. We spent three hours there and the lad got really adventurous, going into the smaller playframes all by himself, and not becoming fazed when other kids were in the way.

We had a great day, and Nathan ate a lot as well, always a bonus.

Wed 31st January
Day 877
2Y 4M 24D

We went to Hickory Dickory Dock again today. Nathan really loves this class. He's rapt most of the way through.

Then we went into town. The lad would have liked to run about more. Maybe we'll use the buggy as a backup, rather than his main means of transport.

Tue 30th January
Day 876
2Y 4M 23D

We went to Silverdale Road toddler group today where the lad stuck close to his dad. Immediately afterwards we went to see the doctor on a follow-up visit.

Nathan's cough is still there and so we've been prescribed another dose of erythromycin.
