This site is about Nathan Windisch, born 14 weeks premature, he stayed at the Neonatal unit for 15 weeks.
Mon 12th March
Day 917
2Y 6M 4D

Nanna came to visit today. Nathan practically jumped out of Dad's arms when we spotted her arrive.

Later in the afternoon we left the lad with a friend. Nathan only cried for a minute this time.

Sun 11th March
Day 916
2Y 6M 3D
Today we went to Granny and Grandpa's house. Grandpa is on holiday so there was just the three of us. Nathan had a great time arranging and pouring water from Granny's four watering cans.
Sat 10th March
Day 915
2Y 6M 2D
We went to the Thatcher's pub and Whoosh! today. A day filled with activity. Nathan should sleep well tonight.
Fri 9th March
Day 914
2Y 6M 1D
Granny came to visit today. As the weather's starting to get warmer, the lad's become very fond of playing outside. He messes around with flowerpots and leaves, and throws things around (which he's not allowed to do indoors).
Thu 8th March
Day 913
2Y 6M 0D
We went to see Grandpa. We took a train from our local station to Paddington, spent some time on the Light Docklands Railway, and spent a couple of hours in the Science museum. We all enjoyed ourselves, especially Nathan.
Wed 7th March
Day 912
2Y 5M 28D

Today we went to Hickory Dickory Dock and swam at Loddon Vale pool (well Nathan ran around the side of the pool a lot, but seemed to enjoy it).

We also left Nathan with a friend for fifteen minutes, just to get him used to the idea of being with someone else. He cried for the first five minutes, but after that calmed down. We'll do it again (Nathan agrees, which is nice).

Tue 6th March
Day 911
2Y 5M 27D

We went to Maiden Erlegh Parent Toddler Group today, and Nathan had a nice time playing with cars and listening to another dad read the story at the end.

Then on to Whoosh! once again. Nathan ran all over the place, and is becoming better at avoiding trouble. When a bigger one rushes towards him, he shrinks out of the way, instead of standing there and getting hit. Most of the time, anyway.

The lad was also happy to go into the play area with a good (adult) friend, rather than just one of his immediate family, which is another milestone.
