Mon 9th April
Day 945
2Y 7M 1D |
We went to the library today and after it had been explained
to Nathan that he had to whisper in libraries, he was quieter
than anyone else there.
They've got some large stuffed toys in the library; a hedgehog,
a ladybird, and a giraffe. After asking the lad if he'd said hello
to the giraffe, Nathan proceed to kiss and hug all of the toys.
Later on we were looking at a magpie on next door's roof. Nathan
said "come down". When asked why, he said "look
at....beautiful".

Sun 8th April
Day 944
2Y 7M 0D |
Another quiet day. We went to feed the ducks, although
it turned out that the fish got most of the bread, Nathan came second
and the (overfed) ducks ate the least. Then on to play on the swings
and slides, and back home just before it started to rain. |

Day 943
2Y 6M 29D |
Today we went into Reading on the train, and came
back home on the bus. It started to rain just as we got off the
bus, so a one mile jog with the buggy was in order. However, it
was a nice quiet day. Just the sort that we treasure. |
Fri 6th April
Day 942
2Y 6M 28D |
We went to see the community nurse today. Nathan weighs 9.64kg
(21lb 3oz) which is slightly heavier than before, but not much.
She wasn't worried, however. She told us to take the view that
he was developing in other ways, so not to worry.
Granny came to visit and they had a lovely time. Nathan's made
up a little song around the words "Snakes and ladders, snakes
and ladders la la la la". It's very sweet.

Thu 5th April
Day 941
2Y 6M 27D |
We were going to go swimming today, but the pool was shut. Instead
we went to toys 'r' us, and managed to get back out without buying
anything, although the £300 cars were tempting (joke).
Then onto Cintra park. Nathan is just so much more independent.
He's a marvel. It's so nice to see him wandering off amongst the
other children, fearless. There's still lots of bumps and falling
over and crying, but as soon as it stops, he's back in again.

Wed 4th April
Day 940
2Y 6M 26D |
Today we went to Hickory Dickory Dock where Nathan did more dancing
and participating than ever before. It's the end of term, so let's
hope he's still in the flow of things on our return.
In the afternoon we went to Snakes
& Ladders. Nathan once again proved himself more adventurous
than ever before. He got pushed over a few times, but after a
brief cry he was ready to go exploring again.

Tue 3rd April
Day 939
2Y 6M 25D |
Silverdale Road toddler group and in the afternoon, Whoosh!
Nathan grows more independent. Today we went down a tube slide
for the first time, the lad's appetite continues to grow. He actually
says he's hungry now.
