Mon 23rd April
Day 959
2Y 7M 15D |
We went to the dietitian today, and the lad weighs in at a whacking
10kg (22lbs). It seems to have been
a psychological barrier for us, so let's hope the progress continues.
The lad didn't want to leave the waiting room afterwards, there
were so many great toys there, so we stayed an extra half hour.
Nathan's back to walking again, and enjoyed the day with Nanna.
Afterwards we played outside in lovely warm sunshine. It was great.

Sun 22nd April
Day 958
2Y 7M 14D |
The foot was still no better, so we went to the accident and
emergency department of the Royal Berkshire Hospital to see what
the doctors thought.
They took an x-ray, and it showed some extremely beautiful, and
undamaged little bones. The verdict was to give the lad Calpol,
and it would heal by itself. We were out again in two hours and
Nathan was as good as gold throughout. He didn't like being examined,
but was very brave.
Later we went to a reunion of the Babies in Buscot Support group,
BIBS. It was very nice to see some of Nathan's contemporaries,
some old friends, and meet up with one or two fans of the website.

Sat 21st April
Day 957
2Y 7M 13D |
Nathan's still favouring his foot. We went to our
Bowls club's green to help with getting it ready for the new season,
and it was unfortunate that Nathan couldn't run around, as we'd
hoped. |
Fri 20th April
Day 956
2Y 7M 12D |
A bit of a disaster this morning. Nathan fell a couple of steps
down the stairs and twisted his ankle. He couldn't walk for a
couple of hours, but could just about hobble about by bedtime.
We went to a friend's third birthday in the afternoon, and Nathan
enjoyed crawling around all the play equipment that was available
in the hall that was booked. He also ate his first ham sandwich
as part of the party food afterwards.

Thu 19th April
Day 955
2Y 7M 11D |
Another relaxed day; we played out in the garden and, after lunch
and a sleep, we went into Reading on the train.
These slow days of Easter holiday have been really good. Nathan
and dad have got to know each other better, and we really enjoy
each other's company.

Wed 18th April
Day 954
2Y 7M 10D |
We went to a little friend's for the day, and played in the sandpit,
and with lots of toys. A lot of fun.
This little chap is four months ahead of Nathan, and where there
used to be a huge gap in physical development, it's a lot smaller
than it was. Nathan's still smaller, and still a toddler, rather
than fully a little boy, but seeing them together makes it clear
how much progress Nathan has made.

Tue 17th April
Day 953
2Y 7M 9D |
We did absolutely nothing today, just played in the new sandpit
when it was sunny. Very enjoyable.
