Nanna came to visit and we had a great time. We're still opening the lad's presents.

One of them's called Marble Madness and Nathan's part in the game is to watch the construction, toss a few marbles down it, then push it over, and call himslf a vandal.

We went to Granny and Granspa's today, and a trip to the London Transport museum. Nathan enjoyed it greatly, especially the Brio train sets!

At bathtime Mumy heard a siren and asked the lad what it was. He said "A police car or an ambulance or something".

Happy third birthday to Nathan. We had two birthday parties. The first with the grandparents and the second with Nathan's friends.

The lad aquited himself well. He said "Thank you" lots and we managed to get about half the presents open.

Nathan loves a bit of roleplay. This morning he was Pingu (a cartoon penguin on TV), daddy was daddy Pingu, and mummy was mummy Pingu. The lad couldn't quite decide who granny was, so he gave it up when she came. He had lots and lots of fun though.

In the last couple of weeks Nathan has started to answer the question "why" with "cos". Today he asked "why" himself for the first time.

Nathan's also asking what things are made of quite a lot. For example "What's biscuits made of?".

The lad also has a new favourite saying. It's
"I've had the best idea in the world ever" taken from Bella of the Tweenies. Not that we watch to much television, just when we eat really.

We went to a friend's house today, pretty much the same bunch as yesterday.

The interplay between Nathan and the other three boys keeps changing as their characters change. Nathan's the second oldest and still holds his own when he stands up for himself. Sometimes he feels a bit fragile, and that's when things end in tears. Still, he really enjoys being with them.

We went to Bournemouth with friends today. We all had a great time, and Nathan paddled with dad for the first time ever.

Nathan's becoming more imaginitive in his play: he plays the parts of cars talking to each other, and his use of Lego is more creative, rather then just asking for someone else to guide him.
