Nanna's off in Australia for a few weeks so Granny came to cover for her. Nathan seemed a little off-form today, perhaps just a bit tired?

We're working on the potty training. Since last Friday the lad's been spending ten to fifteen minutes a day sitting on his potty fully clothed and listening to stories. We'll take it from there.

We had friends round, for lunch at a restaurant today. Nathan kindly slept all the way through it, then woke up for a bit of fun and showing off in the afternoon.
Sat 15th September
Day 1102

We went into Woodley town centre for a spot of shopping. Nathan ate sultanas for the first time.

Nathan's taken to telling us he loves us. It's lovely. In the middle of a conversation he'll just say "I love you Mummy/Daddy" and give a big hug.

Fri 14th September
Day 1101

Granny came to visit today and Nathan had a whale of a time.

The lad's really getting into his stride asking why. The nice thing is that they're all thoughtful sensible why's.

Thu 13th September
Day 1100

We went to Maidenhead to see an old little friend. It's been a year since we've seen them, and they've both grown up a lot, but they still play nicely together.
Wed 12th September
Day 1099
3Y 0M 5D

Nathan's got a bit of a cold today, but it hasn't affected him too much.

We returned to Hickory Dickory Dock after the holidays. The lad was singing all the songs in the bath tonight.

We're still enjoying those new toys. The new favourites are starting to emerge. In the lead are the additions to Nathan's Brio set and a play city.

Tue 11th September
Day 1098
3Y 0M 4D

We went to Maiden Erlegh hoping to get Nathan into playgroup, but knowing that they require their children to be toilet trained. It was no surprise therefore, to be told to come back when the lad's on his way there. Still, outside the classroom the lad picked up the badge with his name on it, and he spotted another one with mummy's name on (Laura).

We opened the last two birthday presents. Nathan got really excited, saying "Wow, this is brilliant".
