This site is about Nathan Windisch, born 14 weeks premature, he stayed at the Neonatal unit for 15 weeks.

Mon 5th November
Day 1153
3Y 1M 29D

Nanna came to visit today.

Since we've been encouraging Nathan to eat more (basically distracting him with the TV and putting food into his mouth) the lad's been more active. Let's hope this leads to a weight gain, and that he's not burning it all off.

Sun 4th November
Day 1152
3Y 1M 28D

Another lazy day.

A couple more good uses of the potty. Nathan's become very keen to "do the right thing". It's just a matter of getting used to his own internal signals.

We're still in the bribery stage of the process. One small car or book for a succesful poo in the potty.

Sat 3rd November
Day 1151
3Y 1M 27D

We didn't do much today.

Some friends came to visit, and we had a little shop at a local farm shop, that Nathan enjoyed greatly.

Fri 2nd November
Day 1150
3Y 1M 26D

Granny came to visit today.

The other day we were due to go out and Dad, who was busy getting ready, asked the lad to put on his shoes, just to get him out of the way. Two minutes later Nathan returned with his shoes on!

Thu 1st November
Day 1149
3Y 1M 25D

A quiet day today. Nevertheless we did painting, made Welsh cakes and went to see the trains go by at Twyford station.

Nathan also did some singing (947kb file, 1 min 17 seconds, Campdown races/Grand Old Duke Of York with some shouting at the end).

Wed 31st October
Day 1148
3Y 1M 24D

We went shopping in Reading today. Nathan was as good as gold today.

The lad ran today for the first time. We'd bought a Bob the Builder bauble for the Christmas Tree (in fact, Nathan ran off out of sight at the shops, with permission, to get it: another first)

When we got home, Dad hung it up on the lad's Cardboard castle (playhouse). Nathan ran into the kitchen to get his little stool, to reach it, and ran back. We didn't see most of it, but he moved at such a speed that it must have been running.

Tue 30th October
Day 1147
3Y 1M 23D

We spent the day visiting friends, and having them visit us.

Nathan's becoming interested in words. He's starting to ask what a particular word or line says.
