Nanna came today and the lad did painting and playing. Dad put the lad to bed and Nathan insisted on kissing dad's nose before he went to sleep.
Sun 18th November
Day 1166

A pretty relaxed day. We visited a friend in the afternoon. Nothing much apart from that.
Sat 17th November
Day 1165
3Y 2M 10D
We went to Beale Park for the afternoon. It was a beautiful day, even if a bit cold. Nathan ran about all over the place, in marked contrast to the previous times we've been(1 2 3).
Fri 16th November
Day 1164
3Y 2M 9D
Granny came to visit today. Nathan ran round and around the house for most of the day as usual.
Thu 15th November
Day 1163
3Y 2M 8D

Preschool first. Nathan didn't cry until the teacher said "aren't you going to say goodbye to daddy" but he still had a good time.

Then the library. We'd forgotten all about the Thursday story readings, it's been so long since the last time.

Ten months makes a lot of difference and Nathan sat happily on his own on the step in front of the story reader. He didn't bat an eye when she closed the curtains, sat beautifully through two stories, even though one disruptive little girl was running round and round him, did all the actions to the rhymes, and coloured in a picture at the end. Perhaps preschool also makes a difference.

Wed 14th November
Day 1162
3Y 2M 7D
Hickory Dickory Dock today, then off to Dinton Country Pastures for a play on the swings and slides and a look at the ducks and geese.
Tue 13th November
Day 1161
3Y 2M 6D

Preschool again. Nathan cried again on parting, but had a happier time while there.

When asked what he did, Nathan said "I played... played some more, painted... painted some more"

In an unrelated quote the lad said later today "I'm happy, not very happy, just a little happy

In the afternoon we went to Whoosh and the lad went down the big slide alone for the first time. He also managed to climb out of the toddler area unaided for the first time.
