This site is about Nathan Windisch, born 14 weeks premature, he stayed at the Neonatal unit for 15 weeks.
Mon 10th December
Day 1188
3Y 3M 2D
We went to Nathan's nativity play today. He was a present carrier, and laid down a present at the end of the play, along with all the other really little children. It was lovely to watch, with the lad in his new best clothes. All the children were really well behaved.
Sun 9th December
Day 1187
3Y 3M 1D

Nathan said the hugest sentence today. "Granny come and talk to me, said Minnie the giraffe, I'm not feeling shy any more" This wasn't from a book, and it was relevant to the (surreal) conversation.

We went to see a friend play in a band at Bearwood College Theatre. Nathan fell asleep, but really enjoyed the bits he was awake for. He came home and banged on a pretend drum furiously.

Sat 8th December
Day 1186
3Y 3M 0D

We went shopping for some smart clothes for Nathan to wear at pre-school nativity.

Nathan said "What is that?" about some food. Then dad ate it, so the lad said "What was that?"

Fri 7th December
Day 1185
3Y 2M 30D

Granny came to look after the lad and we also had a visit from one of dad's cousins and her 20 month old son. It was lovely to see them all.

Thu 6th December
Day 1184
3Y 2M 29D

Dad went off to a father's conference so Granny kindly looked after the lad.

He had a great day, especially the part where he removed every item of clothing and bedding from the cupboard in his room.

Wed 5th December
Day 1183
3Y 2M 28D

Hickory Dickory dock today. We're still learning our Christmas songs.

Then on to Snakes and Ladders for a dad's day out. Not many dads there, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Tue 4th December
Day 1182
3Y 2M 27D

Preschool today. He's not particularly forthcoming about what goes on there, but after some clever questioning we discovered a couple of conversations.

1. Nathan to small boy "Can I shout"
   Boy whispers to Nathan "No"

2. Girl to Nathan "Christmas is coming round"
Nathan to girl "Yes it's coming tomorrow".
